Summary:
Stephane would like to meet a professional in the wine industry. He moved to the U.S. and married less than a year ago. He wants to take this chance to change careers and follow his passion.
He would appreciate hearing first-hand experiences from a wine professional, ideally a vintner knowledgeable about choosing and selling wine. He is thankful for any opportunity possible – from a one-time informational chat, to an ongoing mentorship as he explores his options in this industry.
More details:
Stephane does not have any formal experience in the wine industry. He is 45 years old and was a production manager in a microelectronics manufacturing plant in France, where he also holds a certification in project management.
He now plans to stay in the U.S. and wants to understand the realistic possibilities, challenges, and practical steps to get started in wine. In addition to his independent research, being able to talk to someone would be helpful as he seriously considers his choices.
He has taken advanced ESL classes at San Mateo Adult School and his English is very well-spoken, especially for the very short time he’s been in the U.S.
